Authentic vintage vibes for modern musicians

The Amporium’s mission is to restore and offer vintage guitar amplifiers for guitar players to use and enjoy. Stop back regularly as we’re continually adding new Vox, Fender, Watkins and other amps.

As well as restored and serviced amplifiers, you will also find a unique range of parts to help you service and restore your own equipment. These are mostly (but not exclusively) for Vox amps and many are not available elsewhere. We also sell a few used parts, speakers and some carefully selected guitars from time to time.

Whether you’re a guitar owner who dreams of pairing classic amps with your vintage guitars, a gigging musician seeking a classic backline or working in the studio, owning a vintage amp can be an investment that lasts you a lifetime.

Please note that we’ve been having some teething troubles with the contact form so have only just received some contacts from back in May - apologies if you didn’t receive a response, but all should now now working correctly.

Featured Amp: ‘Croc-skin’ Selmer Little Giant - £700

Small amp, HUGE sound.

This little beauty is a Silver Croc-skin Little Giant from around 1964. It is only 4-watts and is about the size of an old transistor radio, but this little thing produces a massive sound, nonetheless.

Largely original including the transformers and the wonderful little Elac speaker, this is fully working and ready to go. The ‘croc skin’ period Selmer amps are the most saught after versions of these amps, and this one is in great condition. Originally designed as a practice amp, the  low output really encourages you to crank this up where you are rewarded with a rich classic distortion with beautiful harmonic overtones at levels that won’t upset the neighbours.

Both Keith Richards and Rory Gallagher played these amps in their time and in the ‘80s Rory said “I used a Selmer Little Giant amp, but I got rid of it because it was distorting! If I had it now I’d be delighted!”

A bespoke vintage-style cover is also included with this amp.
